About the Guitar Monkeys Locking Tuners: They do what they're supposed to do. They run smoothly, tuning is very precise and the tuning is maintained perfectly.

The workmanship is clean and the materials used are high quality. What should be emphasized is the low weight of the mechanics. For top-heavy guitars, you don't have to do without locking tuners.

The variety of options for customization is also very nice. In addition to the possible combinations of tuner and button in chrome, black and gold, there are also ebony and tamarind wood buttons. Regarding the color selection, it's currently a bit of a shame that nickel isn't offered - but what isn't there can still come. The choice of colors for the spacer rings is great - a small component with a big effect. You get all of this at more than reasonable conditions.

Installation is unproblematic and all the information about it can be found on the extensively designed homepage.

What shouldn't be overlooked, even in this day and age, is the company's sustainability. In addition to planting trees in India and supporting mountain gorillas, the mechanics come in sturdy and reusable packaging.

Overall, I can fully recommend the Locking Tuners from Guitar Monkeys and it will be interesting to see what comes next from the young company.

First Hipshot had wings: I like them, but the guitar is too modern for me and I especially like it better now in the wood tone. The originals were also good in terms of feel, but yours are more pleasant than the Mini Grover Beans and less fiddly - and yours are the more modern looking ones: which goes much better with the Solar!

I can highly recommend the locking tuners from Guitar Monkey. They are well made and ensure effortless and quick tuning of the strings. For my 8-string guitar, the set included 2 tuners for strings up to 0.90 gauge. So I had no trouble putting on a 0.80 string for drop tuning. You can tell from details like this that thought was put into the development and that experts were at work. For my LTD guitar, the replacement was done quickly without any complications or extra work.

I really like the mechanics. The delivery was super fast after extremely friendly advice by email. The first impression after unpacking was very good. The mechanics feel very valuable and are elegant in design and somehow "special" due to the logo. After installation, it becomes apparent that the parts keep what they promise: robust construction, good tuning stability. I'm particularly looking forward to it when there are wooden buttons for the mechanics at some point.

I found the prices, design, concept and the fact that it is a German manufacturer in terms of shipping costs to be convincing enough to try out the chrome locking mechanisms. I was particularly impressed by the fact that the right and left mechanics have the same price. So I got the 4L+2R set for the same price as a 6L set.

Shipping was quick, 2 working days. The mechanics arrived packed in pairs in paper bags and a test certificate was also included. The package included all bushings, nuts and washers. The workmanship is of very high quality, the mechanics run without play and there were no visual defects visible. The knurling on the clamping screw is perfect, the thread runs smoothly. The latter should prove to be very helpful, especially when putting on strings.

Assembly was unproblematic and the mechanics fit perfectly into the existing holes. Lazy and thrifty as I am, I first put the old strings back in. This is where the above-mentioned ease of movement showed its strengths. With a sweeping movement, the clamping screw, which had previously been completely turned back, was closed again, and 2-3 movements later the string was securely clamped. No endless cranking and turning, I was able to complete the clamping process quickly and safely even with the short old string.

The translation and thus the function of the mechanics is very well chosen. The guitar was tuned to the nearest cent within a very short time (strobe tuner in the Line6 Helix). Each string required between a quarter and a half turn of the axis. What I assume was a large translation was perfect for precise tuning. I would like to mention that I lubricated the saddles again with a suitable product beforehand. So I was now able to adjust the octave purity of the guitar even better.

Upbends and downbends, even moderate divebombs, are no longer a problem. My eBay classifieds bargain no longer has to hide behind my more expensive instruments and has evolved from a last resort to a solid second instrument.

I have a set of wooden buttons from you, they fit perfectly on the Hipshot Griplock tuners, first-class workmanship! There have never been tuner buttons made of wood in the shape of a tulip, that would be one of my suggestions.

Bought one set for 8 string (4r+4l), fits exactly the Harley Benton (original tuners are garbage, but tbh for that price you somehow count with it)... For 7th and 8th string there was a mark on the tuners, so you know what tuner is for the bottom strings. Feel of these wooden tuners is really good, overall quality is great, fast delivery, nice eco friendly packaging. Can only recommend!

I ordered these tuners for a guitar, but they don't fit (it's my own fault). But I still took a closer look at the tuners. These are perfectly processed and also look good. price is reasonable. I would have preferred to have installed the tuners immediately.

Regarding customer service: Questions were answered very quickly. Shipping was just amazing. Ordered and delivered two days later.

Unfortunately I had to send the tuner back. The money was also transferred back without any ifs and buts.

I would therefore order these tuners again at any time.

Disadvantage: I would have to pay for the return shipping myself.

I've just opened the package and i honestly think that you've done a great job with these tuners! Clearly a premium product! I have Sperzel mounted on one of my Strat to compare and I think yours are way better! Unfortunately, I need to wait my luthier to mount them but, I repeat, great product!

Small German tarmarind wood buttons

Beautiful wooden buttons that look stunning on my Taylor GS Mini. I'd fitted Gotoh tuners but the weight of the original metal buttons altered the balance of the guitar; however, these wooden buttons are considerably lighter meaning the head no longer gets pulled downwards. Excellent service, the guys at Guitar Monkey even color matched the buttons to the guitars wood. They may seem expensive but they are superb quality!
