Explained step by step

  • 1. Loosen the screw and remove the button


    Use the Phillips screwdriver to loosen the button screw.

  • 2. Attach new button



    Put the new button on the shaft of the guitar mechanics and turn it slowly until you notice that the insert of the button clicks into the shaft slightly. Now press the button down carefully and with feeling until it sits firmly on the shaft.


    ATTENTION: Different manufacturers have different shafts, which means that not all buttons fit every guitar mechanic. Therefore, the accuracy of the fit must be ensured beforehand.

  • 3. Screw the button tight



    Use the Phillips screwdriver to tighten the new button.


    ATTENTION: Please do not overtighten the screw!

Adjusting the mobility

  • Whether the mechanism is harder or easier to turn can be easily adjusted with the button screw.


    1. Simply turn the screw to the left to loosen it and the mechanics will run more smoothly.


    2. Simply turn the screw to the right to tighten it and the mechanics will become more difficult.
