Why Monkey Locks Locking Tuners - Single mechanics with wooden buttons

You can purchase our Monkey Locks locking tuners individually here. The tuners have 1.8 mm string holes as standard. If you would like the locking tuners with 2.3 mm / 0.090 inch string holes (up to 2.6 mm / 0.102 inch is possible), please email us shortly before ordering and state the number of tuners with larger string holes you require. Please note: We only recommend the 2.3 mm holes for tuners designed for wound strings!

Our Monkey Locks - Locking Tuners are suitable not only for electric guitars, but also for acoustic guitars or lap steel/pedal steel guitars. They fit any guitar with a 9.9mm to 10mm headstock hole diameter and 135-degree or 90-degree screw lug holes. Of course, you can also drill new screw holes for your Monkey Locks.

With our wooden buttons, you can reduce the weight of the tuners by up to 20% compared to our metal buttons – ideal for top-heavy guitars. The wooden buttons also give your guitar a sophisticated look and feel!

And the best part: For every set of Monkey Locks with wooden buttons sold, we plant a tree in India to give something back to nature. You don't have to do anything; we take care of it.

Our locking tuners are characterized by their compact design and low weight . The 18:1 gear ratio guarantees excellent handling and precise tuning. Open-style guitar tuners are often susceptible to dirt and wear, but not our Monkey Locks. Their closed design makes the Monkey Locks maintenance-free (no oiling required) and impervious to dirt. We call the clamping wheel on our Monkey Locks the Snapping Wheel because it automatically engages when screwed on and can therefore never fall off , allowing you to rely 100% on your Monkey Locks, even in live situations when changing strings. The clamping wheel is made of lightweight aluminum , which also contributes to the weight reduction.
